Riding Across Australia for a great cause

THE PROJECT

This solo motorcycle ride across the rugged and beautiful Australian landscape is more than just a personal adventure. It’s a mission to raise funds for Strathcarron Hospice, supporting end of life care for those who need it most.

Every mile is a step closer to compassion, comfort, and care.

Why This Ride Matters

This project is born from a place of profound love and a journey of healing.

My dear wife, Gaynor, recently lost her long and brave fight with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love, courage, and an adventurous spirit. My grief is immense, but in her memory, I'm choosing to find purpose and meaning on the open road.

Gaynor always encouraged me to chase my dreams, and she knew my love for motorcycles matched hers for travel and life itself.

To honour her memory and her beautiful spirit, I'm setting out on a series of motorcycle expeditions, starting with an ambitious 22 day ride across the vast Australian continent, from Sydney to Perth. Every mile I ride is for Gaynor, a way to keep her adventurous spirit alive and to find a path forward.

This isn't just about covering the miles; it's about navigating my grief, finding solace doing something I love, and experiencing the world with Gaynor in my heart. Through these adventures, I hope to share the beauty of the world, the challenges of my road ahead, and the enduring love that continues to guide me.

I hope to use this project to raise donations for Strathcarron Hospice. As many of you know, it's an wonderful place filled with incredible people, who provide vital care, compassion and support to people when they need it most on there last journey in this world.

Join me as I ride, remember, and find strength in every mile that passes.
